These double chocolate cupcakes were made for a surprise birthday party. Since spring will be on its way, I used that as my inspiration along with the red color scheme, and selected red and pink cherry blossom cupcake liners. The red and pink cherry blossom idea was also incorporated into the fondant flowers that top the cupcakes, with an additional white flower layer on the regular sized cupcakes to differentiate from the mini cupcakes.
